The Mirror Universe: What If The United States Was Written About Like Venezuela?

Welcome to the Mirror Universe, a new series where we imagine “what if the United States wasn’t the dumb, arrogant, violent world bully holding everyone hostage with nukes and money?” How would a different world dynamic write about the US in turn, changing nearly nothing about it?

Welcome to the Mirror Universe, a new series where we imagine “what if the United States wasn’t the dumb, arrogant, violent world bully holding everyone hostage with nukes and money?” How would a different world dynamic write about the US in turn, changing nearly nothing about it? Well, let’s turn that lens around and take a look at the struggles of a terrifying regime: the United States of America.

Headline: World leaders urge support to self-declared opposition against strongman authoritarian Trump

There is a crisis in the feudal United States: mass starvation, rampant political corruption, and violent police crackdowns on protests against the Trump regime. Trump rose to power in 2016 due to a constitutional technicality in an election marred by controversy of foreign influencevoter suppression, and intimidation. The US does not allow UN election watchers to monitor its elections.

243 years ago, the United States violently expelled the British colonial government and seized power, followed by a large number of aggressive military conflicts across the globe. Ravaged by decades of capitalist control, the country depends on the People’s Republic of China and massive foreign aid to maintain its shaky control over the region.

After 2 ½ centuries of capitalist rule, some cities in America have a poverty rate as high as 30%.

The Pan-Pacific Treaty Organization, led by the People’s Republic of China, called an emergency summit to decide on the country’s fate. In the spirit of change, a local community leader named Angela Davis declared herself President with the support of many Eastern countries eager to see a fresh direction for the region.

After 2 ½ centuries of capitalist rule, some cities in America have a poverty rate as high as 30%. In 2009, the US economy collapsed due to rampant corruption and economic mismanagement, only saved by a massive influx of public money and unsecured debt to prop us failing US banks.

Their healthcare system is in shambles, with as many as 45,000 people dying every year without access to doctors and millions bankrupted by extortionate “insurance policies”. Patients regularly seek treatment in other countries. These policies provide an illusion of care, then send exorbitant bills to unsuspecting patients, often taking their homes and property as payment. A complicated series of public/private kickback schemes have enriched medical cartels to the tune of billions of dollars.

Most of the country is ruled by what amounts to feudal warlords in 50 tribal areas, with a small elite hoarding most of the country’s resources and wealth while its people starve. Its indigenous and former slave populations have been herded into “reservations” and urban areas, brutally suppressed by heavily armed government police. Government police in the region of Chicago even ran a secret network of torture rooms, and there has been extensive documented evidence of extrajudicial racial killings by the same police. Very few of these murderers are ever held accountable. The country’s extensive prison camps hold 2.3 million people, many non-violent offenders. Many live in dire conditions, and dangerous slave labor is common, with luxury products being produced by captured dissidents. They are even forced to risk their lives fighting the environmental devastation produced by the nation’s burning of coal and oil.

Citizens are even required to stand and sing a national loyalty oath in schools and sporting events under penalty of school punishment or losing your job.

Free speech is severely curtailed, with the state media of Fox News and a totalitarian media network system dedicated to promoting capitalism 24/7. Citizens are even required to stand and sing a national loyalty oath in schools and sporting events under penalty of school punishment or losing your job. The state-sanctioned mantra of “Make America Great Again” should be seen as a dire threat to the safety and stability of the world. Protesting the apartheid state of Israel or climate polluters may soon be a criminal act punishable by imprisonment.

Trump has been correctly associated with rogue states including Britain, famous for violating its trade treaties as part of the European Union. The former empire of the so-called “United Kingdom” has been decimated in recent decades by independence movements in its former occupied territories. The capitalist countries were also responsible for the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the ongoing 18 year occupation of Afghanistan, resulting in approximately 500,000 to 1 civilian million deaths. Many of the perpetrators of this heinous crime go unpunished, even celebrated by their political opponents.

The International Criminal Court in the Hague has yet to hold a single trial to hold the people responsible for the genocide, with the United States passing edicts making attempts to extradite war criminals such as former Presidents George Bush, his son George W. Bush, William Clinton, Barack Hussein Obama and Donald John Trump grounds for military retaliation.

Two Presidents in the last 20 years alone have been elected with a minority of the popular vote, casting international doubt on the legitimacy of the capitalist-controlled “2 party system”.

Political dynasties resembling absolute monarchies, with power passing from parent to child, are common. Elections are highly suspicious, with voter suppression among the indigenous and former slave populations common. Two Presidents in the last 20 years alone have been elected with a minority of the popular vote, casting international doubt on the legitimacy of the capitalist-controlled “2 party system”.

Half of the country’s budget goes to its “military first” policy, with army recruitment messages playing during entertainment broadcasts, and a large propaganda network existing under the guise of “Hollywood” movies and TV shows. These propaganda movies and TV shows are regularly produced with the explicit help and permission of the Army, with glowing depictions of heinous atrocities. These propaganda films depict crimes such as: the double nuclear attack on Japan in 1945 which killed 125,000 civilians, the massacre of Mogadishu, Somalia in 1993, and the continual occupation of Afghanistan.

During its Cold War period of escalating tensions with the USSR (the first nation in space), the United States regularly infiltrated and destroyed many socialist democracies in Latin and South America. The regime continues to carry out terrorist attacks in support of capitalist policies in Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Somalia, and Libya. The nuclear nation has routinely threatened the People’s Republic of China with an increasingly bizarre series of internet messages on a website called “Twitter”. (The website is a hotbed of racism and violent imagery, with many of its users adopting Japanese animation images as their persona.)

The United States’ dangerous alliance with the vicious apartheid states of Israel and totalitarian theocracy of Saudi Arabia represent a chilling threat to Chinese interests. Yesterday, the worker-led countries of the People’s Republic of China, North Korea, Vietnam, Cuba and Venezuela passed a joint resolution at the emergency summit stating:

“This Troika of Terror won’t rest until it has spread its vicious ideology of death and destruction to all peace loving nations around the world. It is time to act and recognize the new, legitimate government of President Angela Davis.”
